Why do I write this blog?
The idea is to build some sort of sense of community among the pervious concrete people in the world.
As
a pervious concrete community, today we get to see each other a few
times a year at the different conferences, and even have a few meetings
to discuss the technology. But, to build a strong, cohesive,
technologically sound group, we need to interact more often, so the
blog is a touch point.
Then another leg of this community
building is the conference call/webinar that the NRMCA is hosting on
Friday, July 10, 2009. This was actually Paulette Salisbury's idea.
Together we refined it and brought it to Dan Huffman who has taken it
and really made it big! I hope you can make it. To join in (and it’s
free) Contact: NRMCA’s Michelle Barringer at (240) 485-1143 or E-Mail:
mbarringer@nrmca.org
To connect with the community, and keep in
touch with this blog, Andy Marks has it on his Google homepage (but I
don't know how to do this). I use the SharpReader, which is a free RSS
reader available at
www.sharpreader.net
. As with any blog, two-way communication is always encouraged. So
please, fell free to leave a comment, question, or criticism for the
community to digest.
